Islamic group in Oyo state, “Muslim Awareness International and Organization of Tadumnul Muslimeen {OTM}”, has called on Muslims in the country not to be provoked into violent reaction and bloody outpouring of emotions but to remain calm to be calm and restrained in their condemnation over the controversial anti-Islam film.

OTM through its spokesman, AbdulFattah Thani noted that the controversial issue "affect the foundation of our faith, it is attack on our noble Prophet Muhammad by some derailed elements, who believe that they are exercising their rights to freedom of expression".

Lamenting that people now focus on the reactions of some Islam faithful that had been violent in some instances, leading to the death of some people, the Cleric described the development as unfortunate and lack of consideration for the feeling of Muslims over the 'terrorist film'.
