INEC Clears 19 for Governorship Poll

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released the names of 19 candidates it has cleared to contest the December 3 Governorship elections in Kogi State.

The names, based on copies of nomination forms, were published yesterday on the notice board of the commission in Lokoja in accordance with the Electoral Act 2010 (as amended).

According to the list, those to contest the elections include: the Captain Idris Wada for the Peoples Democratic party (PDP); Prince Abubarka Audu for Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN); Ubolo Okpanachi for All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP): and Nuhu Mohammed Umar for All Progresive Grand Alliance (APGA).

Others included James Ocholi for Congress for Progressive Change (CPC);  Mrs. Bola Esther Are for citizens popular party (CPP); Chief (Mrs) Aisha Audu  Justice Party (JP); Ibrahim U.A.Tanko for Labour Party (LP) and Mohammed Dangana Ali New Democratats (ND);  Mohammed Dangana (NAP); Gowan Usman Egbunu ( NTP); Aboh Adejoh Samuel (PAC); Elegbe Amos –(PDC); Deacon Joseph Onimisi Adagbo for Progressive Peoples Alliance (PPA); Gideon Enema Ojata (PPN); Lawal Itopa Lamidi (SDMP) and Abubarka Aliu Gomiwa Bala (UNDP).
