As part of efforts to support the ongoing free summer camp organised by the Lagos Empowerment and Resource Network (LEARN), for students in Lagos State, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, makers of Indomie Instant Noodles, is providing free launch to the students.

LEARN, an initiative of the wife of Lagos State Governor, Mrs. Abimbola Fashola, is aimed at engaging students positively by teaching them vocational subjects and other skills to make them self-reliant.

Apart from providing free launch to the over 5,000 students in seven locations, the company also provided free learning materials like exercise books and pens with T-shirts and face caps to all the students and volunteers at each of the locations.

Public Relations Manager, of Dufil, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju, said the continuous partnership with LEARN is in line with the company’s corporate social responsibility, which places priority on the educational development of Nigerian children.

“As a brand, Indomie is well known for its commitment to the development of education at all levels, that is why we have continued to make immense contributions to projects involved with the education of Nigerian children, who are the future of the nation.”

Ashiwaju, who recently presented a cheque of N350,000 to LEARN, also commended Mrs. Fashola for the initiative, which he said would engage the children positively during the holiday by channelling their energy towards productive endeavours, instead of roaming the streets.
