Boko Haram  attack on St Theresa  Catholic Church, Abuja

Irked by the increasing state of insecurity in some parts of the North as a result of the activities of Boko Haram, about  150 Igbos resident in Maiduguri, Borno State Thursday fled the town as they were evacuated back home.
The returnees arrived the 9th Mile Corner, Enugu at the early hours of Thursday, through the free luxury buses provided by IgboVille,  a social network of Igbo professional at home and in Diaspora.

Meanwhile, the General Officer Commanding (GOC), 3 Armored Division, Jos, Major General Adamu Buba Marwa, has warned Boko Haram members to steer clear off North-east states or face the full wrath of the Nigerian Army.
In a statement signed by the division’s Assistant Director Army Public Relations, Lt. Col. Andrew Idachaba, in Jos Thursday, the GOC gave the warning on resumption of operation in Gombe State recently.

  • With this act of igbo leaving the north back home, you're sure they won't be a civil war? and what about the northerners that stays down south? Are they safe?

  • 'Nigeria our weakness in our diversity '. It's obvious that we can't co-exist together while will some people be repatriated back from their country to their country. Lets stop talking of peace in Nigeria and lets pray that if the will of God is for us to split then let it be done peacefully.

  • Let the politicans from the north keep speaking from the two sides of their mouth. The ACF is a complete disgrace and northern youths and inteligentia should outrightly severe all relations with them and reject them. They are a bunch of trouble makers who are of no value to the north they represent, and to Nigeria as a whole. The military operations against Boko Haram should continue viogorously. Welcome to Major General Buba Marwa. We wish and your boys all the success as you flush out Boko Haram. They have no respect for the llives of Nigerinas and for constituted autorhtiy. May Allah protect our soldiers in battle in their own country.

  • From the current happenings its more than obvious that we can no longer co-exist.
Why hanging on and deceiving our selves .The prediction of US intelligence that before 2015 Nigeria will likely disintegrate has come to bare.
Also the listing of Nigeria as a terrorist country , the US is now vindicated.

  • The headlines was very correct 150 in Maiduguri, come to Kano and see Sabon gari where most of the non indigens reside is almost empty. They are moving seriously. Business men are cursing this sect everyday for spoiling their business. I went to the market it was the same thing. It was so empty. Marketers were looking @ their goods and their goods were looking @ them. Kano is at standstill. What will happen to our center of commerce? BOKO HARAm really shake Kano.

  • Nigeria's Federation is a woeful failure .May be we try 'CONFEDERATION' i.e.,co-equal six regions or zones with a weak centre in Abuja. It is high time Nigeria was re-structured. MEMBERS OF NATIONAL ASSEMBLY TO TAKE NOTE .It is,therefore, imperative that we act now or sink with the pervading ill - wind that blows nobody good.Give to the extremists' the Sharia Law' and the humble Christian Masses the COMMON LAW ,Doctrine of EQUITY and the Rule of Law...here and now !!!
