Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye
Dynamo Kiev striker Brown Ideye and Academica de Coimbra's John Ogu have both revealed to Complete Sports that they will arrive at the Super Eagles' camp on Tuesday for next weekend's 2014 World Cup qualifier against the Harambee Stars of Kenya in Calabar.
Ideye, who scored one goal and provided two assists for the Super Eagles to help conquer the continent at the last Africa Nations Cup in South Africa, said he will be in camp before lunch time on that day.
"I should be in camp by Tuesday afternoon by God's grace. We all know what's at stake and what we must do to get the much needed result against Kenya," Ideye said.
Ogu on his part says he hopes to have a good game if fielded by the coach.
“I hope it will be a good game for me and that we win in my first of many caps to come for Nigeria.”
Also, Nnamdi Oduamadi, who is staging a return after being forced out by injury, disclosed that he will report to the Super Eagles camp next Monday in Calabar for the encounter.
The Varese winger who is expected to lead his club assault away to Spezia in the Italian Serie B is upbeat about the Eagles chances, saying their impressive streak against the Harambee Stars which has seen the reigning African champions drawing one and winning seven of the last eight meetings should be maintained.
"I just have the Spezia game to play for Varese before I will report to the Eagles camp in Abuja on Monday. With my new found form, I want to help my country to victory against Kenya in Calabar. I have what it takes to fight my way back into the team. I have scored two goals in seven matches with three assists and I believe I can transfer this to the national team and I cannot wait to don the green-white jersey again," Oduamadi added.
Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will fly out of Abuja to Calabar on Monday for their final preparations ahead of the game.
