Christian Chukwu…Heartland’s stand in coach

Premier League side, Heartland FC of Owerri yesterday confirmed they have hired a new foreign coach to pilot affairs on their technical bench.

General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of the club, Chief Fan Ndubuoke who spoke in Owerri, however, did not reveal the full identity of the new man except for the fact that he is Dutch. But in the meantime while they await for the arrival of the coach, Ndubuoke said Heartland FC has drafted in Christian Chukwu to hold forte.

Ndubuoke said the Dutch coach will be in charge of the Naze Millionaires for the next 18 months.
The Heartland FC boss explained that the club went for a foreign coach in other to help open up direct business links with the international football market. He also argued that since Heartland FC has established a record of hiring high profile coaches, with the most recent being Coach Samson Siasia, his administration could not afford to lower that tradition.
According to him, Chukwu's stay would be very ‘temporary’.
