Dr. Obiora Chukwuka

As part of the activities to mark his golden jubilee anniversary, Executive Chairman of Greenlife Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Obiora Chukwuka embarked on a two-day visit to some orphanages and welfare homes in Lagos State where he celebrated with the inmates and also made generous donations.
The institutions visited by Chukwuka on the first day were the Holy Family Home for the Elderly at Regina Mundi Catholic Church, Mushin; the Heart of Gold Children Hospice at Surulere and So-Said Orphanage, Okota, Isolo. On July 18, his birthday proper, Dr Chukwuka after a special Mass held at the Catholic Church of the Resurrection, Magodo GRA Phase 2, continuedhis welfare missions. This time, he visitedModupe Cole Memorial Child Care and Treatment School Akoka and the Motherless Babies Home located at the Headquarters of the Red Cross Society, Yaba.
Chukwuka had at a press briefing declared his intention to use his 50th birthday celebration as a platform to further give back to society through various charitable works. With a retinue of staff from his Greenlife Pharmaceuticals and sister organizations, friends and well-wishers accompanying him on the visits, Chukwuka was well received in each of the institutions visited.
At the Holy Family Home for the Elderly, Mushin, Dr. Chukwuka was received by Sis. Rosemary Omololu of the Eucharistic Heart of Jesus, who is the Superintendent in-charge of the Regina Mundi Hospital. Sis. AnthoniaAdebowale, who is in-charge of the Home for the Elderly later joined to welcome the celebrant and his entourage.
At the Heart of Gold Children Hospice Surulere, the Founder, Mrs. LajaAdedoyin was on hand to welcome himand members of his team. She took the celebrant and his entourage on a guided tour of the facility and in the process madethem to appreciate the enormity of their challenge. The facility provides home and care for abandoned children and those born with all manners of physical deformities.
From the Heart of Gold Hospice, Chukwuka’steam proceeded to the So-Said Orphanage at Okota, Isolo, where they were equally well received by the management of the institution, At the orphanage, they were conducted round the facility.
At theModupe Cole Memerial Child Care and Treatment School Akoka and the Motherless Babies Home located at the Headquarters of the Red Cross Society, Yaba, they also made donations. While Mrs. Florence Kayode, the Principal at Modupe Cole welcomed the team,it wasMrs, IfeomaOkeke, the Secretary of the Red Cross Society that played host to the entourageat the Motherless Babies Home.
The highpoint of the events at the various orphanages and homes was when the celebrant cut his birthday cake with very jubilant inmates amidst dancing, eating and rendition of birthday songs in his honour. To round off his visit, Dr Chukwuka donated huge cash amounts as well as loads of items including mattresses, bags of rice and other food Items, condiments, sanitary materials amongst others.
The management of the various beneficiary institutions expressed great joy on receipts of the items above and appreciated the celebrant immensely for his magnanimity. They also prayed for the continued good health of Dr, Chukwuka and wished him many more of fruitful services to God and humanity.
