In line with the promise by the Federal Government that it will provide effective and affordable medical-care to Nigerians, the Minister of Health Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu, yesterday said the collaboration of private sector and the Federal Government will reduce the incidence of maternal and infant mortality rate in the country.  The Minister who disclosed in Abia State during the commissioning of Royal Cross Methodist Hospital, Ugwueke, an  Utra-modern maternity ward built and equipped by a philanthropist, Mr. Johnson Chukwu, urged good spirited Nigerians to compliment government effort of better health care delivery. Chukwu revealed that assisting the Federal Government is the only way to ensure quality health care delivery to millions of Nigerians in the country.  The donor of the hospital, Johnson Chukwu who revealed what motivated him to embark on the project, disclosed that over 80 percent of the patients consisting of mostly women and children trek from Ebonyi State down to Ugwueke community where the hospital is situated to seek for medical care.
