The Fidelity Helping Hands Programme (FHHP), an initiative of Fidelity Bank Plc, has extended support to the Wesley school, Lagos by donating educational materials for the development of the institution.
The event, which took place at the school’s premises in Surulere, had the presence of the Lagos State Commissioner of Education, Mrs. Olayinka Oladunjoye, the Executive chairman Surulere Local Government Area, Mr. Ajide Tajudeen, amongst others.
Speaking at the event, Executive Director, Risk Management, Fidelity Bank, Mrs. Onome Olaolu, said the FHHP, which she described as an initiative of workers in the commercial bank, has been in existence for eight years.
She added: “All over Nigeria, FHHP has executed projects from hospitals, schools, supported the physically challenged and even prisons, building boreholes, renovating schools, providing medical equipment and so on thereby making contributions to their well-being.”
FHHP presented the school with items which include; note books, computers, motorcycle, canopies and chairs for social events and many more.
Tajudeen and the management of the school commended the bank for the support, even as he urged other cooperate organisations to emulate the initiative.
