The federal government has assured that the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON) will be competitive and provide for the accoutrements and other hardware needs of the nation’s Armed Forces, Paramilitary services and the Police.

Vice President, Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo stated this Tuesday during the Presidential Committee meeting on the Review of the Structure, Operation and Activities of DICON, which he chaired in his office at the State House, Abuja.

He stated that the framework that the committee would develop would ensure that DICON meets the objectives of its founding fathers, which was to ensure the local production of the needs of the country’s security forces. The Vice President also used the occasion to call for synergy between DICON and its primary consumers.
