Labour union members under the aegis of the National Union of Air Transport Employees Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Lagos Branch have pledged their support for the management of the authority, stressing that the policies of management have given the entire personnel true sense of belonging to the organisation.

The branch president of the union, Mr. Uka Williams, made the remark in Lagos when he led some members of the branch executive to pay a courtesy call on the General Manager, Corporate Communication of the authority, Yakubu Dati.

He commended the efforts of the Minister of Aviation, Stella Oduah, in bringing visible, positive changes to the country’s aviation industry, especially in her determination to fully implement President Goodluck Jonathan’s transformation agenda in the sector.

The union leader also noted that the newly launched MMA Terminal 1 (GAT) was evidence of the commitment of the present administration towards transforming Nigeria into a major hub in the West African sub-region.

The Union members also asked that the human element of the transformation, which involves their members, should be taken into consideration since the human resource is a major element in the successful implementation of the transformation agenda.

Dati, in his reply, appreciated the kind gesture of the union in aligning with the transformation agenda and assured the members that he would always partner with them in their effort to protect the welfare of all well-meaning staff who are determined to make the transformation agenda succeed in FAAN.
