Experts in resource management are set to discuss the role of banks, chief finance officers (CFOs) and other operators in the recently introduced cash-less policy.

A statement said that the experts would gather at the forthcoming Nigeria Development Forum (NDF 10) organised by the African Centre for Resource Studies (ACRS) to examine both the short-term and long-term benefits and impact of the policy introduced to reduce the dominance of cash in the system on cashless regime on growth and job creation. The event comes up between June 25th and 29th this year.

President ACRS, Chris Onwuka, that the event was also organised considering the challenge and lessons in building confidence in public leadership, budgeting, public sector finance and fiscal governance.

ACRS is an organisation dedicated to the study of public governance, gender and public leadership. The NDF 10 would also be looking at the fiscal policy and public expenditure management in the post oil subsidy crisis targeting specifically on the short term impacts and long term implications on the Nigeria economy.

“ACRS works toward fulfilling Africa’s obligation to United Nations (UN)-Millennium Development Goals (MDGs), thus advocating for development and good governance as the core plan of our regional security, peace, prosperity and growth.
“Our programmes are conducted regularly and are coordinated from selected cities and first class public institutions across the globe,” Onwuka added
