Denmark's Emmelie de Forest has won the 2013 Eurovision Song Contest - with Britain's Bonnie Tyler finishing 19th.

The 20-year-old won the annual competition with a barefoot performance backed by flutes and drums.

The winning song - 'Only Teardrops' - beat tunes from 25 other countries, including 'Believe In Me' by Bonnie Tyler.

Tyler, 61, finished 19th out of 26 acts, with 23 points, reports Sky News.

Ireland's entry, the dance track Only Love Survives by Ryan Dolan, came in last place with just five points.

Denmark was predicted to win with odds of 4/6.

It topped the table with 281 points, followed by Azerbaijan and Ukraine.
