Etisalat Offers Discounted Roaming Tariff To Hajj Pilgrims

Etisalat customers travelling to Saudi Arabia for the Hajj pilgrimage will have the opportunity to enjoy discounted rates on local calls in Saudi Arabia, calls to Nigeria, SMS and data services in the Etisalat Hajj Promo which lasts till November. The promo enables them stay in touch with family and friends while performing Hajj.

The promo promises up to 90 per cent discount on outgoing calls to Nigeria at N50 per minute, local calls within Saudi Arabia at N30 per minute and N12 per SMS with a data package for as low as 2 kobo per KB when they buy 200MB internet bundle. For customers to enjoy this package, all they have to do is roam on the Mobily network and new subscribers must register their SIM cards.

Etisalat Chief Commercial Officer, Mr. Wael Ammar explained that the promo is driven by a desire to keep loved ones connected during the pilgrimage through cost effective and friendlier tariff offers. “In keeping to our commitment to providing the very best in seamless communication to our customers, we design tailor-made products and services that speak directly to their needs”. He maintained that “The Hajj promo is one of such offers that enable our customers to stay connected to loved ones carry on while also on their spiritual journey.”

Director, Products and Services, Etisalat Nigeria, Mr. Lucas Dada said that the promo has been designed to offer customers convenience such that they can travel with recharge cards as well as receive e-top up from family and friends in Nigeria. “In addition to friendlier call tariffs, Etisalat offers its prepaid customers data roaming internet bundle packages.

Roaming is available to prepaid subscribers by default; they simply need to switch on their devices on arrival in Saudi Arabia whilst the postpaid subscribers must visit an Etisalat experience centre to request for roaming and pay a security deposit before embarking on their trip.
