Abubakar said this in a statement by the Secretary of the Sultanate Council, Alhaji Attahiru Hussaini, a copy of which was made available to THISDAY in Sokoto on Friday.

It called on Muslims to intensify prayers to seek God's divine intervention to various problems affecting the Muslim ummah and the country in general.
The statement appealed to traders to desist from hoarding and inflating the prices of foodstuff, clothing and other essential commodities in order to enable fellow Muslims carry out their Ramadan fast with ease. The statement urged Muslims to re dedicate and devote themselves to the worship of God in order to obtain his blessings.
