Barely two days after Rivers state government demanded N105 billion intervention fund on Federal Government's  infrastructure in the state,  Bayelsa state government has also called on the Federal Government  to refund the sum of N5.2 billion expended on the Ekoli bridge/Yenegoa-Oporoma.

The road is linking Yenagoa Local Government Area and Southern-Ijaw Local Government Area, both in Bayelsa Central Sinoatrial District, but could only be accessed by canoe before construction of the bridge.

The state Commissioner for Works Lawrence Ewurjakpo made this demand while conducting the National Good Governance Tour (NGGT) team to the bridge.
