The feel good factor in the Super Eagles camp continued on Monday morning as goalkeeper, Austin Ejide, resumed light training ahead of full fitness return for the Nations Cup.

Super Eagles Media Officer, Ben Alaiya, reports that the light training schedule for the player started on Sunday morning, when he was passed fit to embark on swimming therapy by the national team medics. By early morning training on Monday, Ejide, was fit as a fiddle but still being closely monitored to avoid a relapse by the medical crew.

He was seen in training with keeper’s trainer, Ike Shorunmu and physiotherapist, Olawale Oladejo. The medics, however, said they won’t rush the Israeli-based keeper into action but all was looking very well for him to bounce back in a record time.

Meanwhile, the Super Eagles will play its last training match Tuesday against Portuguese second division side, Farense in Faro, Portuguese, before departing Faro, for South Africa on Wednesday. The match earlier scheduled for 12noon Portuguese time, which is 1pm Nigerian time has been pushed forward a bit due to logistics. The game will now kick off 2:30pm Portuguese time, which will be 3:30pm Nigerian time.

Head Coach Stephen Keshi declared on Monday, that the team on ground is well prepared for action at the 2013 Nations Cup and again urged Nigerians to line up behind the team in a bid to bring greater glory to the country at the tournament.
