National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Edo State yesterday disclosed that it had impounded 19, 612.4 kilogrammes of Cannabis Sativa, 12.5 Kg of cocaine and 6.5 Kg of Heroine as well as a 67-hectre of Cannabis Sativa farm worth N5 billion.  According to the NDLEA state Commander, Mr. Sani Ibrahim Sani, the feat was achieved between January and June this year across the 18 local government area of the state.

Briefing journalists in Benin City, the state capital, while marking the 2012 United Nations Day against drug abuse and illicit drug trafficking, he said a breakdown of the statistics indicated that 23 convictions were made while 17 vehicles and three motorcycles were also impounded.
