President ECOWAS Commission, Ambassador Kadre Desiré Ouédraogo

The Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) Commission has welcomed the intervention by French troops which has helped the Malian government regain the central town of Konna.
This is as the Commission reiterated its commitment to support the government of Mali to preserve the territorial integrity of the country.
President of the ECOWAS Commission, Ambassador Kadre Desiré Ouédraogo according to a statement issued Saturday night lamented that efforts to find solutions to the political crises in Mali have not yielded fruit as the situation deteriorated in the past few days.
