I had a good laugh during the week when I came across an advertorial in some national dailies, which tried to give the impression that the Super Eagles’ AFCON victory was brought about as part of the transformation agenda of President Jonathan. In the advertorial, the advertisers (you should know who they are) recalled the earlier woeful performance of the Eagles and how President Jonathan convened a sports summit at the Presidential Villa and how he charged the NFF to make sure they come back from South Africa with nothing but the cup.
Oh, success really has many relations! When the Eagles were posting unimpressive results, pulling one draw after another in Nelspruit in South Africa, they were not part of the transformation agenda; they were not good as the poster boys of the so-called agenda. Chei.
