Super Falcons coach, Kadiri Ikhana, Tuesday submitted his programme to the technical department of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) ahead of the Africa Women Championship later this year.

The Falcons, who won the tournament two years ago, will nurse high hopes when they aim for an unprecedented eighth continental title at Equatorial Guinea in November.

Ikhana was appointed the coach early this year with the mandate to revive the team after its stock dipped under the watch of Uche Eucharia.

He told reporters after meeting with the officials of the technical department at the ‘Glasshouse’ that he had prepared a detailed plan, which if followed, would steer the Falcons back on course.

The plan incorporated proposals for friendly matches and intensive training camp within and outside Nigeria.

He also indicated his desire to spice up the Falcons with players from the U-20 as age is already catching up with some of the senior players.

“We hope to play some matches to keep shape for the AWC, while in addition we want to give some of the Falconets players a look in before we go to Equatorial Guinea,” Ikhana said.

Falcons, who won their last title in South Africa in 2010, defeated Zimbabwe over two legs to secure its passage for the AWC.
