Efforts by wholesale distributors to address shrinking margins and customer demands for higher service levels have been augmented as Deloitte launched Deloitte Consulting Distribution Solution (DCoDS), a preconfigured, industry-specific application, specifically designed to help distributors.
Leader of Deloitte’s SAP DCoDS solution, Christopher Lafaire, who made this known in a chat with news men in Lagos, said the application was scalable, customisable and can assist organisations in their efforts to manage profitability– from customers to channels to products.

DCoDS, according to him, assists the core functions of a business including financial management, supply chain, operations, sales, marketing and distribution through pre-configured SAP solutions for sales and distribution, FICO, general ledger, financial supply chain management and advanced planning specification.
In addition, it can improve the capabilities of wholesale distributors for forecasting, cash flow management, product traceability, quality inspection, returns and transportation planning.
It also differentiates itself further through the enablement of mobile applications for virtual business processing.
