Customs Seeks Royal Support on Smuggling

The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has solicited for the support of royal fathers in its anti-smuggling campaign.
NCS Zonal Coordinator, Comptroller Othman, stated this in Lagos when he visited the Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu in his palace to seek royal support for the fight against smuggling.

He thanked the monarch for the support given to his predecessors and solicited same in the interest of the nation and her economy.

In his response, Oba Akiolu urged the Customs High Command to always look into welfare of its personnel.
He also urged members of the trading public, importers and exporters to abide by the rules by shunning smuggling while also paying accurate customs duty on imports.
