The management of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), Thursday, deployed the Deputy Comptroller of Customs, Victor David Dimka, to the Zone C Federal Operations Unit of the service as the Area Comptroller.

The deployment of the seasoned anti-smuggling czar has been applauded by industry watchers as yet another brilliant stroke by the Abdullahi Dikko Inde-led customs management.

Dimka is widely perceived by many in the maritime industry as the smugglers’ albatross.

His track records in the service, especially in  enforcement and anti-smuggling operations is unparalleled in the recent history of NCS.

Dimka was acting CAC FOU Zone A Lagos between 2011-2012 during which he achieved an unprecedented level in suppression of smuggling and revenue generation for the Federal Government .
