Apparently moved by the vision to build an institution that will be timeless in its relevance, Coscharis Motors, authorised distributors of Ford vehicles in Nigeria, Tuesday, opened its ultra-modern Ford showroom at its new head office in Lekki, Lagos.

Described as the largest facility of its type in sub-Sahara Africa, the new showroom and service centre will display the Ford range of vehicles being distributed by Coscharis.

The vehicles include Figo, Focus, Fusion and Taurus (all sedan) as well as the Ford 4x4 , namely Escape, Everest, Edge, Explorer and Expedition, which is currently the flagship of the Ford brand. The showroom will also display the Ford Transit, which includes an ambulance.

Present at the epoch-making occasion were top officials of the American auto manufacturer who flew into the country to grace the event. Director of Operations, Ford Export & Growth , Mr. Hal Feder, who led the team from Ford’s Dearborn, Michigan headquarters, said “We see a bright future for Ford in Nigeria as we roll out an all-new series of smart, fuel-efficient products.

  According to Feder, “This has always been an important market for us and now that we have a great vehicle line-up and a new world-class partner in Coscharis, we feel poised for a strong comeback in Nigeria.” He later presented the Golden Shovel Award to Coscharis Motors as a recognition of its dedication to customer service.

The Regional Manager, Sub-Sahara Africa, Ford Export & Growth, Mr. Ezio Tuniz, said “These vehicles-passenger and commercial-all embody our ONE Ford Plan in which we source from our global network of suppliers to guarantee our Nigerian customers the high quality they expect from their cars.”

The President/CEO, Coscharis Group, Dr. Cosmas Maduka, in his speech at the occasion, said his company came up with the mission to deliver excellent products and services to its customers thereby giving them the highest value for their money.

  “This magnificent edifice is one of the steps to realise our vision and as part of the company’s corporate social responsibility, it will plough back resources into the immediate and larger society, while ensuring that the employees have a sense of pride and fulfilment,” he said.  “Coscharis Motors has diversified into auto sales and service, with state-of-the-art, ultra-modern showrooms and workshops nationwide.
