Coroner Indicts Dangote Sugar over Accident

The Coroner, Chief Magistrate, T.A Elias who investigated the  ghastly motor accident which occurred on Lagos Ibadan Expressway on August 15, 2010, in which 40 people lost their lives has indicted Dangote Sugar Refinery  and the driver of the truck owned by the company. The truck rammed into various other vehicles destroying them and killing scores of people in the process.

The outcry that followed the huge loss of lives and accusation negligence on the part of the driver led to the inquest largely championed by  Falana & Falana’s Chambers and Access to Justice, a non-governmental organization. The inquest was conducted to establish the remote and immediate cause of  the death of 40 Nigerian citizens in ghastly motor accident in the Lagos Ibadan Expressway on Sunday, August 15, 2010.
