Controversies have continued to trail the death of two members of staff of Chinese Group of Companies (CGC), in the swimming pool located in the company’s premises at 9 Reverend Ogunbiyi Street, GRA, Ikeja, Lagos.
The victims; Odion Imhonbhio and Richard Dada were said to have drowned in the swimming pool of the construction under bizarre circumstances.
It was gathered that the duo had allegedly gone swimming the previous night and were not seen till the following morning when their corpses were discovered at the bottom of the pool.
The corpses were recovered and sent to Lagos State University Teaching Hospital (LASUTH), Ikeja, for autopsy.
It was gathered that the result of the autopsy stated that the victims died of asphyxia and drowning.
However, the families of the deceased persons have raised posers on the real causes of death.
Odion’s brother, Matthew, said the family was concerned because the corpse of the 21-year- was found inside the swimming pool with blood coming out of his ears, nose and mouth.
He said: “His corpse did not look like someone that drowned because he bled from the ears, mouth and nose.
“Something just looks fishy. How can two full grown men drown at the same time in a pool that is not deep for that matter?”
Although he admitted that his brother was a moderate swimmer, he said Dada on the other hand was a swimmer.
He also queried the decision of the company to offer both families the sum of N500,000 each even before investigations were concluded.
