Nigerian match officials
Referees for each of the two matches of the grand finale of the 2011 Federation Cup will only be known after the coordination meeting for both matches taking place at the Conference Room of the Teslim Balogun Stadium at 16h00 on Saturday.
Officials say this is a cautionary measure and will go a long way in ensuring fair play and equity during the matches.
The officials will be FIFA-graded referees.
Meanwhile, accreditation passes for media representatives for Sunday's grand finale of the 2011 Federation Cup competition will be handed out at the offices of Lagos State Football Association, inside the Teslim Balogun Stadium, Surulere between 15h00 and 17h00 on Saturday.
And in a related development, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi, ex-international defender, one-time Sole Administrator of Shooting Stars Sports Club, one-time NFF General Secretary and a member of the immediate past Executive Committee of NFF will be match commissioner of the 2011 Federation Cup final match between Heartland FC of Owerri and Enyimba FC of Aba on Sunday.
Ogunjobi, presently chairman of the Osun State Football Association, said: "I relish the opportunity to be in that atmosphere and not just as a spectator but as the overseer of the big game. Football is my life and I am delighted”.
Chief Kunle Adesiyun, former chairman of the Kwara State Football Association and former coordinator of the North Central zone, will be match commissioner for the third place match between Ocean Boys FC and Bayelsa United FC, starting at 2pm.
