Plateau United striker, Daddy Maurice has branded his side as underdogs going into the Federation Cup Round of 60 game against Nigerian champions, Dolphins.
Maurice until last season was in the employ of Dolphins before he was shipped out.
The striker despite acknowledging that his former team are favourites ahead of Tuesday's clash at the Emmanuel Atongo Stadium in Katsina-Ala, believes Plateau United can cause an upset.
Maurice told SuperSport.com: "The FA Cup is a different competition. Dolphins are a big team and I know this because I have played for them and last season I left to join Plateau United. I know what they are capable of doing on the pitch and the kind of players they have. It's not going to be an easy game for us and it won't be easy for them too because we won't be afraid to play to our own strength."
The Plateau United attacker also knows that he will be a marked man before his former teammates but will have to prove he is fit to take part in the match.
"I did not play until the last (league) game including the FA Cup for my team. I have been out injured but I am ready to play again. But the decision remains with the coach.
"I am ready to work hard to get back in the team for this game against Dolphins. But if I play I know they will still remember that I am capable of causing them problems," Maurice said.
