Coalition of Civil Society Organisations in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has threatened to convene  an alternative and autonomous “Peoples Session” for FCT residents, if the members representing the FCT fails to conduct public hearing on constitution review.

The group under the auspices of The 'Abuja Civil Society Coalition'   in a press conference in Abuja demanded that Hon. Zephaniah Jisalo and Hon. Dobi Isah representing AMAC/Bwari and Abaji/Gwagwalada/Kuje/Kwali Federal Constituencies respectively should make public the venues, time and other necessary information regarding the proposed Peoples Session on Constitution Review.

The Alliance for Credible Elections (ACE), Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) Federation of Muslim Woman Association of Nigeria (FOMWON) amongst others were represented at the briefing. Stating the position of the group, Comrade Emma Ezeazu who presented the demands stated that it was just obligatory that the House members convey the peoples session.
