CIBN Restructures, Promotes Management Staff

The Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN) said it had embarked on a restructuring exercise aimed at strengthening its operations and processes.

According to statement from the body, the move was also to enable it meet the expectations of stakeholders in the banking industry.

It added: “This is necessitated by the numerous innovative ideas and projects initiated by the current leadership of the Institute led by Mr. Segun Aina, aimed at ensuring that CIBN realises its ambition of becoming a world-class institution in banking and finance education, ethics and professionalism.

“Top on the key initiatives includes benchmarking programmes of other banking institutes in various countries; creating a new administrative structure for the Institute; enhanced Certification programmes; reviewed ACIB Syllabus, amongst others.”
To drive these initiatives, the CIBN also announced the promotion of three Principal Managers to Assistant Directors.
