Akwa Ibom State Governor, Dr. Godswill Akpabio said has said that the Enugu State Governor Sullivan Chime who has been hospitalised in London since September 2012, would return to the country in next week.

Akpabio also said that he cannot join anybody or association to plot against President Goodluck Jonathan.

Speaking to newsmen on arrival from London, United Kingdom at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, Akpabio, who was among three other governors who visited the sick governor in his hospital bed in London, assured that Chime was well and healthy and capable of ruling the state upon his arrival.

Akpabio insisted that Chime would return to Enugu State Government House and to make public any activities of the Governors Forum that run contrary to the principles that set it up.

The Governor also said that the Forum would work with the Federal Government to ensure purposeful leadership in the country.

He emphasised that it was high time Nigerians trusted their representatives and warned against playing politics with people’s health.

“I was a part of the delegation that visited the governor in London and I brought a message of goodwill to His Excellency, the Governor of Enugu State and like I said, we must learn to mourn with those who mourn and rejoice with those who rejoice. We should not play politics out of people’s health."
