Etisalat
Feelers emanating from the advertising industry have revealed that frontline advertising agency, CentrespreadFCB may have resigned from the advertising business of Etisalat Nigeria.
Top industry sources hinted midweek, that the agency may have served the telecom giant a quit notice due to what was described as “irreconcilable differences”.
It will be recalled that the creative agency won part of the Etisalat business over a year ago after a hotly competitive pitch.
Hitherto the telecoms creative account had been solely handled by one creative shop when it was first launched into the market.
With the resignation of the account by CentrespreadFCB, it is not unlikely that the telecoms company may embark on a hunt for a new creative shop or warehouse all its business in one agency.
Industry sources however squealed that the current development holds a lot of interesting scenarios capable of creating excitement in the advertising industry in the days to come.
Etisalat Nigeria is a major player in the Nigerian telecoms sector, while on its part, CentrespreadFCB, remains one of Nigeria’s most sought-after advertising agencies.
