Brazil has announced the schedule for the 2013 Confederations Cup, with Mano Menezes' team kicking off the competition in Brasilia on June 15.

However, the Estadio Nacional will not be used again until the final, on June 30, with the five other host cities - Rio de Janeiro, Fortaleza, Belo Horizonte, Salvador and Recife - all set to stage three games apiece, reports Goal.com.

The Selecao's two other group games will take place in the northeast of the country, at the Estadio Castelao and the Arena Fonte Nova.

“We are committed to delivering the greatest FIFA Confederations Cup ever," Local Organising Committee [LOC] member and former Brazil international, Ronaldo enthused.

"It is a big challenge for the six host cities, who have worked so hard to come to this point. But their effort will surely pay off with memorable matches, great celebrations and the huge international awareness that the tournament will raise for these cities.

"This lineup of top-level teams will display their talent in six new or fully-refurbished stadiums. After the competition, we will have half of the venues ready and tested for the FIFA World Cup. One year ahead. This is very important for our team at the LOC."

As well as reigning champion Brazil, the latest edition of the Confederations Cup will also feature Spain, Japan, Mexico and Uruguay, with the three remaining berths set to be filled by the as-yet-unknown champions of Europe, Oceania and Africa.
