About three people were Thursday night feared dead in a bomb explosion that rocked Jalingo, Taraba State capital.
The blast occurred at Dorowa area in the heart of the town at about 8.pm.
Though official casualty figures is yet to be released, sources at the federal medical centre, Jalingo said three people were brought to the hospital dead.
Several others who sustained varying degrees of injuries were also seen being attended to by the hospital officials.
Among the injured, 12 people were said to be in critical condition.
The state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Amos Olaoye, confirmed the incident but refused to give details.
There was an explosion in the same area in June though no life was lost in the incident.
