Security agents in the country have been charged to step up their performance in order to get to the root of allegations hovering over politicians about their roles in the sponsorship of the Boko Haram sect.
Borno State Governor Kashim Shettima, who gave the charge, told State House Correspondents Thursday after the National Economic Council meeting that his focus, as a pragmatist, is how can the menace of the sect be curbed.
Noting that he does not want to join issues with security operatives over who is is responsible for the mayhem in the Northern part of the country, Gov. Shettima insisted it is their responsibility to get to the bottom of what crime of omission or commission is being perpetrated.
