At least two people were feared killed while undetonated explosives were also discovered in a residence of a retired police officer in Gudum Sayawa, a suburb of Bauchi metropolis.

A source close to one of the deceased disclosed that the unknown gunmen, numbering about 15, stormed the area about 8:00pm Saturday and started shooting sporadically prompting residents to run for their dear lives.

The victims killed during the onslaught were late Iliya Duba, who was about to retire for the day, and Mrs. Alheri Ayuba, a mother of three who was killed on her way from a nearby resident.
