Brazil and Barcelona forward Neymar has been named in Barçelona’s
squad that will face Lechia Gdansk in Poland while Fabregas has been
excused from the squad.
Media reports on Monday suggested the Brazilian youngster who resumed
with the squad on Monday after an extended break following his
participation in the Confederations could be dropped for the trip to
Poland, reports futaa.com.
But a club statement on fcbarcelona.com confirmed the player’s
inclusion in the 23-man squad that excluded those who took part in the
Confederations Cup, hence Fabregas' exclusion.
“The Brazilian forward was named to Barça's squad and could make his
debut for the team on Tuesday, against Lechia Gdansk.
“Most of the players who travelled to Munich and Oslo will make the
trip to Poland, with the exception of Mascherano.
“The other footballers who played in the Confederations Cup will
remain in Barcelona, where they will complete two training sessions on
Tuesday. The statement reads.
The players who will travel to Poland for Barça’s third friendly of
the preseason are: Pinto, Oier, Montoya, Bartra, Adriano, Song, Sergi
Roberto, Dos Santos, Messi, Tello, Neymar, Alexis, Sergi Gómez,
Planas, Joan Román, Dani Nieto, Bagnack, Samper, Ilie, Patric, Dongou,
Espinosa and Kiko Femenía.
