As the continent prepares for the January 2013 summit of the African Union themed “Pan Africanism and African Renaissance”, Nigeria’s main agenda is to canvass for an accelerated economic integration among all member states of the AU Commission.

The summit which will hold in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia at the AU headquarters is scheduled for January 21st – 28th, 2013.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Olugbenga Ashiru, speaking with THISDAY in a telephone conversation said although the framework to promote intra- African trade already exists, the implementation is very slow.
