B-side by WALE ADEYEMI
Born and bred in London, Walé Adeyemi has been at the heart of current culture all his life and had a deep affinity for new emerging and exciting trends that rise from our ever-changing world. This season Walé Adeyemi has continued the concept of ‘somewhere between the kerb and the boutique’ that is archetypal of the brand – merging the functional with the aesthetic through the introduction of new fabrics and colours with timeless design and practical styles for winter weather.
The combination of waxed shirts in muted tones and plaid shirts reinvented through the use of tie-dying present classic tailoring with a new street edge. Chinos and double breasted jackets in muted tones are lifted with berry accents in scarf’s and shirts, coupled with leather rucksacks – creating a contemporary look for today’s man.
Taiwo and Kehinde Okunoren- Ng
Born in 1983 in Lagos Nigeria, to Kunle an Engineer and Abiola Okunoren a fashion designer, the twins Taiwo and Kehinde were inspired by the need to provide Nigerian men with English style shirts thus becoming the first and only fashion duo in Nigeria.
The brand grew organically through word of mouth and was eventually known as a luxury product with esoteric designs earning its place as a leading menswear label in the sub-Sahara region of Africa.
Nkwo Onwuka started with an obsession for dolls and a mother who taught her how to sew. Nkwo Onwuka is a Pschology degree graduate, but her love for making pretty things has turned into fashion business and the birth of her label.
