Youths from the seven council areas that make up Anambra North senatorial districts have appealed to politicians from the central and southern senatorial districts of the state to lend their support to the quest by the Anambra North people to produce the governor of the state in 2014.

The youths acting under the aegis of Anambra North Youths Association (ANUA),  in a communiqué issued after its national executive council meeting (NEC) at Otuocha, Anambra East Council area of the state,  yesterday,  said that their call for power shift was one being made for justice, equity and fairness with co-operation of other zones in view.

The communique signed by Comrade Sunday Chidube, Ignatius Nnaji, Dibia Joseph, and Chinedu Okonkwo, the president, secretary, public relations officer and publicity secretary respectively, urged other citizens of the state from the central and south zones, especially the politicians to support their quest having supported them since the creation of the state, adding that it is time to reciprocate.

The communiqué, which expressed gratitude to the state governor, Mr. Peter Obi; the former governor of the state, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ezeife; business mogul, Prince Arthur Eze and Senator Ben Obi, all from the central and south zones for their support on power shift, described them as people of good conscience.

They contended that Anambra North senatorial district has credible and competent aspirants with proven capacity and knowledge to consolidate on the achievements so far made by those who had governed the state and urged all the political parties presenting candidates for the governorship election later this year to pick their candidates from Anambra North.
