Akwa Ibom State Governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio 

Unconfirmed reports out of Uyo indicate that the Akwa Ibom State governor, Chief Godswill Akpabio, has dissolved the State Executive Council, with immediate effect.

The release announcing the governor’s action, which was signed by the Chief Press secretary to Akpabio, Pastor Anietie Ukpe, directed the cabinet members to hand over to their respective Permanent Secretaries.

Akpabio expressed his appreciation and that of the entire people of Akwa Ibom State to the members of the State Executive Council for their services and wished them well in their future endeavours.
