Akintola Williams Deloitte office
As part of its efforts in improving its partner pipeline, Akintola Williams Deloitte(Deloitte Nigeria), an indigenous professional services firm that provides audit, tax, consulting, enterprise risk, IFRS and financial advisory services, has announced two partners appointment to the firm recently.
They are Tawanda Gumbo and Diana Gerrard and joined the firm from the African and Asian continents respectively.
According to a statement from the firm, Tawanda joined Deloitte Nigeria from Deloitte Zimbabwe and Malawi, where he was Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for eight years.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Zimbabwe and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy degree from the University of South Africa. With 24 years of professional experience, Tawanda is a former board member of the South African cluster and a past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Zimbabwe.
He has served as a member of the Zimbabwe Stock Exchange monitoring panel and is a current member of council for the Pan African Federation of Accountants (PAFA).
The statement added that Tawanda will be Audit partner in the Lagos office and will have responsibility for some of Deloitte Nigeria’s Consumer Business, Transportation, Technology Media and Telecommunication clients.
Diana has assumed Audit Partner role in Deloitte Nigeria’s Lagos office. She has responsibility for some of Deloitte Nigeria’s Consumer Business, Transportation, Technology, Media and Telecommunication clients. Prior to joining Deloitte Nigeria, Diana was Audit partner in Deloitte Kazakstan for four years.
Beginning her career with Grant Thornton, Diana proceeded on to work for Dickson Middleton for eight years before joining Deloitte. She is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales.
