In a bid to address unemployment in Africa, a non-profit organisation, Youth Alliance for Leadership and Development in Africa (YALDA) is set to hold a conference to empower youths in the continent.
Speaking during a media briefing in Lagos, the Chairperson, Ms. Kalaya Okereke said the event which comes up from October 4 to 7, would provide a platform for participants to meet business leaders, leading professionals, among other successful corporate players, to chart a new course on innovation and creativity.
The event, billed to hold at the Lagos Business School, Lagos, with the theme ‘Innovation and Creativity for a Better Africa: Implementing Your Dreams’, is expected to host about 250 delegates all over the continent, to discuss issues on how to overcome challenges to youth leadership and developmental problems in Africa.
Speakers and panelists during the programme include Managing Director, Project and Export Finance, Standard Chartered Bank, Mr. Ade Adeola; Founder, Leap Africa, Mrs. Ndidi Nwuneli; Chief Operating Officer, Suburban Nigeria, Mr. Suleiman Arzika, and Managing Director, Viacom International Media Networks, Mr. Alex Okosi, among others.
