Nigeria’s former captain, Nwankwo Kanu
Nigeria’s former captain, Nwankwo Kanu has said the Super Eagles will be crowned African champions for a third time on Sunday at the expense of Burkina Faso Sunday.
“Stephen Keshi has done very well with this team and all his efforts will be crowned with the ultimate glory on Sunday,” said Kanu.
“What he has done with the players from the local league has been most commendable and now he is on the threshold of making history for himself and for the country.”
South Africa-based Nigerian goalkeeper Greg Etafia has been most impressed by the positive outlook of Kanu about the team even when they struggled in their first two group games.
“Kanu has been positive about this team even when the going was very tough for the team here and now his confidence in the team has been justified,” said Etafia.
The Moroka Swallows shot stopper picked Victor Moses, Emmanuel Emenike and Brown Ideye as potential match winners on Sunday.
“Moses, Emenike and Ideye can win this game for Nigeria on Sunday. It will be a little tough though, but Nigeria will prevail,” he predicted.
