Kola Oyeyemi, President, ADVAN
Members of the Advertisers Association of Nigeria (ADVAN) have re-elected the General Manager, Consumer Marketing of MTN Nigeria, Kola Oyeyemi, as its president for another two years.
Oyeyemi, who was announced president at the Annual General Meeting (AGM), of the sectoral body, which coincided with its ‘Marketers’ Evening’ recently, promised to promote ethics and standard of the industry.
To take the body to the next level, he said his executive council would work hand in hand with other sectoral bodies in the advertising industry and abide by the rule of the game.
“Under the new administration, we will work with the Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria (APCON), and other sectoral bodies to take advertising to the next level where it would compete favourably with players on the global scene,” he added.
Meanwhile, the AGM also saw the return of Executive Director of Nestle Nigeria, Iquo Ukoh, as the first Vice President, Lampe Omoyele as second Vice President, Femi Adeniba of Friesland WAMCO as Publicity Secretary, and Bukola Ogunwusi of Toyota as Treasurer. Three ex officios were also elected and they are the marketing director of Cadbury Nigeria Plc, Dele Anifowoshe, Brand Building Director of Unilever, David Okeme, and Commercial Director of Promasidor, Kachi Onugbogu.
