  • A well-deserved honour to Otunba (Dr.) Mike Adenuga Jnr. By giving honour to whom honour is due, the federal government will be encouraging him to do more for our country – Nigeria and her people. He is a strong believer of the Nigerian dream and is a big source of inspiration for Nigerians, Africans and in fact the entire black race . What he has done with Globacom, building the network from scratch and competing against MTN and Econet Wireless (now Airtel) has done a lot to restore confidence in our people that yes, no matter the challenges, we can actually achieve what we set out to achieve with determination and God on our side. Otunba Adenuga through his Conoil, Globacom and other business interests is probably one of the biggest employers of labour in Nigeria. When you also factor in the many Nigerian SMEs that provide services to the MA Group, it shows how important a role the Group plays in the economic development of Nigeria

  • Congratulations to Dr. Mike Adenuga (GCON) for a well deserved honour. His impact on the labour market and the lives of average Nigerian at large is worthy of such a prestigious honour. Kudos to the Federal government of Nigeria for identifying and rewarding such an exemplary entrepreneur of Dr. Mike Adenugas (GCON) caliber, i believe this will go a long way to encourage him to do more and motivate other Nigerian entrepreneurs to emulate his kind gesture.

  • Must the number of awardees be up to 100 each year? Because the number of people on this list that truly deserve this award is not more than 30. The others are b/c they are politicians even when it is very clear that they are non performers. Kudos to Mike Adenuga

  • Uduaghan practically ground to a halt state machinery to celebrate the phony court rulling that Ibori was not guilt of over 100 counts fraud charges by EFCC which later proved to be right with Crown Court guily as charged rulling. Uduaghan was the Henchman to Ibori, and is now being rewarded or honoured for what? As a collaborator to the system that impoverished the Deltans and bring the nation to global disrepute. What a country.

Serving public servants and politicians don't deserve national honours until after a minimum period of one year they left office. We might be celebrating a thief now. GEJ and PDP just can't get it right.

  • The National Honour of GCON for Dr. Mike Adenuga Jnr. is not only well deserved but a long overdue on. I must congratulate the Federal Government under President Goodluck Jonathan for recognizing this man that remains the most patriotic of all the billionaires that abound in this country. I wish to also congratulate Dr. Adenuga for bagging the heist honour in his fatherland and during his life time. Dr Adenuga, I dare say, is the essence of our abiding faith in the Nigerian nationhood . His contribution to the economic development of Nigeria and Africa as a whole is colossal. I have no doubt that he will see this honour as another impetus for him to continue to champion the course of our total economic emancipation. Congratulations to a national icon of no mean repute?

  • This is absurd ,what manner of award I could see some names that appeared last year and last two years on the same list who barged one of such awards ,one will then decide to wonder the criteria for dis selection this is simply a sign of an inept GEJ ,if not for just a few that can be vowed for I don't see any rational behind honouring State governor,Ministers or even senators they should be assessed based on there performances in there respective domains which is suppose to be the yardstick for them to be on that list for the rest I think Nigerians should be given the parameters for there selection
