Speaker of Adamawa State House of Assembly, Alhaji Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, Wednesday called on Nigerians, especially Christians to use the Christmas and New Year holidays to reflect on a proactive method to solve the insecurities challenges in the country.
Fintiri in a statement said that the yuletide holidays should be approached with a renewed faith and commitment to building a better Nigeria.
He said following the security and economic challenges facing the country, the solution, however, could not be achieved through violence and wanton killings of innocent Nigerians.
According to him, Nigerians should expressed hope that the country would come out of the present unsavoury conditions better than what it is today.
The Speaker, while calling on residents to work hard in order to transform of the state, stated that developmental activities could only thrive in an atmosphere of peace and tranquillity.
Fintiri said the political class should express a level of tolerance and understanding among themselves for the benefit of peace in the country, adding that they should be more proactive in dealing with issues that promote the well-being of the masses.
He prayed for a peaceful and harmonious celebration, while also calling on security agencies and other security organs to be vigilant throughout the season.
