PDP National Chairman, Alhaji Bamanga Tukur
By Senator Iroegbu and Adedayo Akinwale
The Network of Civil Society Organizations in Nigeria (NCSON) has called for the immediate suspension of Alhaji Bamanga Tukur as the National Chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and members of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party for violating their oath of office by misleading the people with false information and most of all disobeying court and presidential orders not to conduct Ward congress in Adamawa State.
The NCSON National Coordinator, Comrade Kalu Onyedikachi, who made the call Monday at a press conference in Abuja, also issued a 48-hour ultimatum to the state chapter of the party for the immediate cancellation of the Ward Congresses held in the state or also be suspended with PDP boss.
Onyedikachi said Alhaji Tukur erred by supporting actions that are detrimental to the tenets of democracy in the country by disregarding a court order restraining the PDP in Adamawa State from holding ward congresses until all the issues concerning factional fighting are resolved.
