After a long hiatus, Adaeze Mogbogu popularly referred to as Adaezey by friends and colleagues in the music circuit has staged a remarkable comeback with a new single and video for “E Dey There” under her Amazing Ville Entertainment label.
Renowned for communicating with her audience in very simple language, Adaezey under her new management, teamed up with ace music producer and project fame judge; TY Mix to produce the fast tempo rap tune. The producers say the feel-good song, a deviation from the norm is guaranteed to keep any upscale party bubbly. It has been followed by a very colourful and entertaining video that was shot by multiple award-winning director; Clarence Peters. As expected the song and video respectively have began to enjoy rave reviews in the media.
Those familiar with Adaezey will recall her 2003 single. Determined to carve a niche for herself at a time when there were just a handful of female rappers, full, Adaezey went on to OJB – Jezreel’s SilverPoint Studios, in Surulere, to work with him and another producer, Joekeny who was famous for producing Rugged Man’s “Baraje” track.
Her first single then was titled: “Sepe” and was accompanied by a video directed by Emeka Obefe. This effort enjoyed some reasonable measure of rotation on some radio and TV stations.
